Terms of Service

Genvap is operated by Ezra Quinn Toney, trading as Splint, based in California, United States. Throughout these terms “we” and “us” mean Ezra Quinn Toney, and “you” means you, the person using Genvap. You can reach us at splintsite@gmail.com.

You need an account to save projects, buy exports or subscribe. You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

Genvap is a browser-based editor that turns your screen recordings and screenshots into mockup images and videos. The editor is free to use. Exporting without a watermark is paid — either per export or through a subscription, as set out on our pricing page.

We may change, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces what a paid subscription gives you, you may cancel and we'll refund the unused part of that billing period.

• You keep all rights in the recordings, screenshots, text and other material you bring to Genvap (“your content”), and in the images and videos you export from it.
• You grant us only the narrow licence we need to run the service: to process your content so the editor and the export pipeline can do their job. Nothing more. We don't use your content to promote Genvap and we don't use it to train models.
• You confirm you have the rights to whatever you upload, and that using it in Genvap doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or break any law.

You agree not to use Genvap to:

• Upload or produce material that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have permission to use.
• Impersonate a real person, company or product in a way designed to deceive.
• Work around the watermark, the payment flow or any other limit on free use.
• Attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or use automated tools to scrape or abuse it.
• Resell or redistribute the service itself. (Selling the images and videos you make with it is entirely fine.)

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where the breach is minor and fixable we'll normally get in touch first.

Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, in US dollars, before you pay. Payments are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.

One-off exports are charged per export and don't expire.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month at the price shown until you cancel, and the card on file is charged at the start of each period. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the period you've already paid for. Refunds and cancellation are covered in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

We may change our prices. A price change never affects an export you've already bought, and for subscriptions we'll tell you before it takes effect so you can cancel if you'd rather not continue.

Some 3D models shipped with Genvap are licensed from their authors and are credited on our credits page. Device shapes and names shown in the editor belong to their respective owners and are used to describe the mockup you're making; Genvap is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any device manufacturer.

Genvap is provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and correct, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet a particular need. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Your projects are edits, not files: your recordings and screenshots stay on your own device, so re-opening a saved project asks you to re-attach them. Keep your own copies of anything you care about — we can't recover media we never had.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data arising from your use of Genvap. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.

Nothing here excludes liability that can't legally be excluded, and some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions — in which case the limits above apply only as far as that jurisdiction permits.

You may stop using Genvap and delete your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or end your access if you materially break these terms, or if we stop offering the service — in which case we'll refund the unused portion of any subscription period. Sections 4, 8, 9 and 11 survive the end of this agreement.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — except that if you're a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the country you live in.

We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top shows when. If a change is significant we'll give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Genvap after that means you accept the new terms.
